THE TOWN AND GMINA OF KĄTY WROCŁAWSKIE

The Gmina of Kąty Wrocławskie is one of the most attractive regions of Lower Silesia. It undergoes a rapid economic development and is rich in cultural monuments and beauty spots, which means that it is appreciated both by the investors and the tourists. The Gmina of Kąty Wrocławskie is located in the south-western part of Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The gmina is attractive mainly thanks to the A-4 motorway running through its centre. The entire area of the gmina is covered by the local area development plan and the new study makes it possible to introduce amendments to the existing plan, which gives the possibility of industrial, commercial and building investments within the area exceeding 600 hectares. The investors and entrepreneurs are offered by the gmina the land and buildings for development accompanied with complete documentation. Many companies with foreign and domestic capital invested in our gmina.

Such investors contributed a lot to the change of its character. Until recently, we were typically agricultural gmina and now we are the industrial and agricultural one. Our success is reflected not only in the achievements to date but mainly in great prospects for future development. We are consistently implementing the Long-Term Investment Plan, which results in the interest of further investors whose satisfaction is the best advertisement for the new ones. Such favourable conditions are also created by the expansion of the transport infrastructure carried out within the governmental programmes and arising from the need of its adjustment to meet the European standards. Kąty Wrocławskie is located in the proximity of both the motorway and the airport, and – most importantly – of the main city of the region – Wrocław. The accession of Poland to the European Community created new possibilities for development. Our goal is to make our cooperation with other EU member states not only the economic one but also social. Therefore, to get to know one another, to share experience and to establish friendly relations, we have concluded partner agreements with the French commune of Mignaloux – Beauvoir and the German commune of Biblis. At the same time, we do not forget about the financial means from the Community which are obtained to implement numerous projects. The Gmina of Kąty Wrocławskie has the abundance of tourist assets. Within the area of the gmina, there are numerous monuments of architecture (old Gothic churches and palaces from the subsequent periods, to name the few) as well as the curiosities from the world of nature in rural parks and forests of the Bystrzyca River Valley. The Gmina of Kąty Wrocławskie has good prospects for the development of tourism and is the potential recreation centre. One of the considerable assets of the gmina is the concentration of recreational and tourist attractions in its western part, i.e. along “The Bystrzyca River Valley Landscape Park". In order to preserve and propagate the natural values and to ensure that the inhabitants have appropriate recreational conditions, the Gmina of Kąty Wrocławskie makes every effort to establish the gmina park called "Quiet Valley”. This concept also includes the plans of establishing the Centre for Ecological and Tourist Education.
